It is with great pleasure that I share the news that Sa-Dhan has been recognised as an SRO by the Reserve Bank of India.
This is a big responsibility placed on us and the Board and Secretariat are now putting in place a suitable structure and process to fulfill the SRO requirements. We will prepare a draft working plan and share with you at the next AGM, ideally before the end of the second quarter. I would be sharing further the dates and topics for our next AGM, including the finalisation of the MOA amendments that we had debated at length last year which might now be streamlined further under the new structure.
Shri P. Satish, Chief General Manager, NABARD, the new ED designate at Sa Dhan, would also be joining us in a few weeks. He is keen to directly contact and meet you all when he comes in and has expressed that this shall be his top priority.
I do not need to add that it is all of you and your reputation and good work, that has given the RBI the trust and confidence in awarding Sa-Dhan this recognition. Along with the trust comes the expectation that Sa-Dhan will perform its mandate responsibly and thereby enabling the sector to grow stronger with robust credibility. I congratulate all of you and look forward to deepening our relationship in the coming months as we set out to achieve our ambitious agenda!
Looking forward to your active support and solidarity.
